69 NOMBRES is an indie rock band formed in Barranquilla, Colombia, in the late 90s. Since its beginnings it has been formed by José Carlos Maria (vocals and keyboards), Hans Baumann (guitar, vocals and keyboards), Orlando Donado (drums and vocals) and Oliver Camargo (bass, vocals and keyboards).

With their first album entitled "Alba", published in 2002, they manage to make themselves known in the main cities of the country and, thanks to this recognition, alternated with artists of the stature of Andrés Cepeda, Café Tacuba, Molotov and Juanes. Also since then, and on six occasions, they have earned an important space in the festival Rock Al Parque.

In 2009 the band releases "Tiempo" (Time), an EP of four songs whose production was in charge of the recognized English producer Phil Vinall (Zoe, Placebo, Radiohead, Pulp). In 2010 they conquer the Colombian public with the song "Tientame", included in the soundtrack of the successful television production "Amor sincero" (Sincere love). This made the band deserve a nomination in the 2010 SAYCO awards in the category of Best New Talent.

In 2011, thanks to the tour in the United States they participate in the festival Largopalooza (in Key Largo, Florida) and in the festival South by South West (SXSW in Austin, Texas) in which they delivered two outstanding performances. That same year the band was also part of the Official Selection Showcase at Circulart Medellín 2011.

In 2012 released a new single called "Por qué te vas" (Why you go), a version of the Spanish classic composed by José Luis Perales. This song featured the participation of Tato Lopera founder of the band Estados Alterados and is included in the new album of the band, also produced by Phil Vinall.

Since 2013, 69 NOMBRES has been touring in Mexico, performing in the cities of Durango, Zacatecas, Acapulco, Chihuahua, Taxco, Aguascalientes and Puebla, where they had the opportunity to share the stage with artists like Zoe, phobia, Julieta Venegas, Jesse and Joe, Los Bunkers and DLD.

The band is currently promoting "Espiral” (Spiral), single featuring a beautiful video directed by Andrés Arochi, Mexican video artist, whose recording took place in Mexico City.
